About Mindemez

My name is Viktor Acs, also known as Mindemez. I’ve been involved in photography for more than a quarter of a century, and within that, I’m interested in experimentation and new forms of visual representation.

Through my photographs, I conduct experiments that offer a deeper insight into the finer details of the world. I’m drawn to things that are mostly unnoticed: the stillness of a surface, a subtle texture, or the way time and light leave their mark on space.

I always have my camera with me, observing everyday life to see when and where I might encounter unexpected moments. An unexpected moment can arise anywhere - whether on the street, with friends, or even at home in the quiet of a room, where I can study the form and presence of an object.

For me, it’s a matter of mindfulness. I prefer to take my time and immerse myself in what I’m doing. I spend hours doing this, even though it seems like a short time. I’m most creative in this state of mind, when all my attention is focused on the work.
